Jacob is the Burners mentor and owner of their garage and main hangout, Mutt Dogs. He drives Sasquatch.

Personality[]

Don't let his age fool you, Jacob can keep up with the best of the Burners. Despite looking and acting like an old beatnik, Jacob has a caring persona towards his peers in spite of his hobbies,

Jacob seems resourceful, as he likes to care for things most within Motorcity have a disdain to. He does his best to grow food with the limited natural resources in Motorcity, but his organic recipes are less than appreciated by the kids, okra-mayonnaise muffins being an exception for Chuck. Texas seems to enjoy his cooking in general. Other than growing plants in his store, has hobbies such as collecting used oil cans.

Appearance[]

Jacob appears to be in his early 60's, having mostly grey hair that he wears long and grows into a beard. He wears a red bandana, and white shirt under a very worn black vest. He also wears blue jeans, boots, and a black wrist band on his left wrist.

History[]

Jacob was once Abraham Kane's partner, and helped create most, if not all, the technology in Detroit Deluxe from a small garage in Michigan. Jacob created Utility-Bots with him in Michigan. Unfortunately, Jacob programmed them to anticipate human commands, being the only person they ever listened to, shutting his initiative down. Kane retrained Jacob's robots to capture Detroit's outlaws and bring them to the Interrogator Droid. However, the humans couldn't control the Interrogator and shut it in with the Utility Bots. Due to Jacob's departure, Kane's access to both The Utility Bots and The Interrogator's hardware gave him use in creating his own line of robots. It's unclear when Jacob learned of Kane's megalomania, but it drove him down to Motorcity, where he now serves as a voice of wisdom and experience for the Burners.

Trivia[]

  • In some of the early concepts for the show, Jacob was Mike's grandfather.
  • Jacob's personality and design are intentionally based on Goat from MTV's Downtown and Megas XLR. This is no coincidence, as many of the Motorcity crew from Titmouse were on the writing and directing team for both shows. The most recent appearance of Goat was in Dreamworks' and Titmouse's 2013 show Turbo Fast. His design in a cameo is based on both Goat and Jacob's designs.
